Alexandra is an arts journalist specialising in classical music. She has written for publications including Prospect, The Spectator, The New Statesman, The Tablet, The Times, The Sunday Times, the Telegraph, the Guardian, the Independent, the I Paper, Gramophone, Opera, Opera Now, Time Out Sydney, Limelight, Classical Music, Oper!

Alexandra also writes sleeve and programme notes for festivals, organisations, labels and artists that have included the BBC Proms, Royal Opera, Glyndebourne, Salzburg Festival, Carnegie Hall, Barbican, Bridgewater Hall, Delphian, Cecilia Bartoli, The Tallis Scholars, The Academy of Ancient Music and The Sixteen.

Alexandra also appears as a pre-concert speaker and panellist. Previous engagements have included the Royal Opera House, English National Opera, Glyndebourne, Spitalfields Festival, The Academy of Ancient Music and The Cheltenham Festival.
